Dads of Disability is curating a publishing a collection of essays in
book form called "Dads of Disability": Stories for, by, and about
Fathers of Children that Experience a Disability. This book will
contain essays from micro-stories up to ~3000 words. The essays will be
for, by, or about fathers of children who experience a disability.
The author needn't be a father (or even a male) but the theme of the
pieces must contain a distinctly male point of view or be written for a
male in the author's life.
Stipends of $25 to $100 will be paid for
essays that appear in the book. You can learn more about the project,
its goals and themes, rights requested for your writing, and see the
blog about the project at our website and see the submission guidelines and FAQ on the menu.
Dads of Disability is also running a Poetry contest judged by poet and
author Marly Youmans. You can learn more about this contest here.
