- Submissions are currently open for our Summer Mixtape Flash Fiction Contest! Judged by Juan Martinez of Best Worst American fame, the winner will receive $250, publication in Split Lip's first-ever print issue, and an invitation to read at our AWP18 reading/issue launch. Deadline 9/15.
- Speaking of our first-ever print issue, regular submissions are open now. We offer free submissions every other month (free in August!), and our tip jar submissions are always open. We also have a $5 expedited option, which will get you a response in 2 weeks.
- During the month of August, our poetry editor Marianne Chan is offering critiques of individual poems as well as poetry manuscripts for a small fee. Current MFA students are already getting feedback in their workshops, but this could be a great opportunity for alums! All the money we raise will go to web hosting and our eventual goal of paying our contributors. (For the editors and other staff, Split Lip will remain a labor of love.)
