Sun Star Review is currently open for submissions to our Winter 2017 issue. We are seeking prose (whether fiction, nonfiction, flash, long, or simply unclassifiable), poetry, visual art, and mixed media work.
Aesthetically, we prefer nuance to flash. We look for depth and emotional resonance. And we appreciate risk taking and ambitiousness¾so long as the ambition is earnest. We love to read experimental work: work that plays with craft and genre, work that blends the real and the fantastical, work that challenges our sense of perspective. Our journal is also committed to promoting diverse voices, and we love to see points of view that aren’t well represented in the general literary scene.
We’ll be accepting no fee submissions for this issue through November 15 at our website.
