Amygdala is now accepting submissions for its fourth issue! We are looking for creative non-fiction, fiction, and art that elucidate the wide range of issues and emotions mental health disorders evoke from both new and seasoned writers alike. Poetry submissions will not be considered for this reading period.
We will be reading submitted work from September 8th through November 10th.
Work that contains unnecessary or gratuitous violence/sex will not be considered.
Our goal is to build a sense of community by creating a platform for people to bring mental health issues into dialogue.
Amygdala originated at the University of Illinois in Springfield in 2015.
Please see our full submission guidelines here.
