Hospital Drive: The Literature and Humanities Journal of the University of Virginia School of Medicine announces a Poetry and Prose Contest.
Editors will award $500 for the Best Poetry submission and $500 for the Best Prose submission exploring the theme of “Identity” within the context of health care.
All submissions will be considered for publication in a special print issue of the magazine scheduled for February 2016. Deadline is June 15, 2015, and there is no entry fee. Please see the website for complete details and submission guidelines.
Hospital Drive also seeks general submissions year round for the online magazine, which is posted in August and February each year. Please consider submitting your best health care-related poetry, prose (fiction or nonfiction), or art. Submission guidelines are available here.
