Green Linden Press is delighted to welcome submissions of poetry chapbook manuscripts to be considered for publication in its Chapbook Series. Our mission is simple: to foster excellent poetry. Poets are encouraged to read our online journal, Under a Warm Green Linden, and the titles in our catalog to become familiar with work that excites us.
- Send an unpublished manuscript from 12–40 pages (either pdf, doc, docx, odt, rtf, or txt).
- Include a brief biographical statement.
- Include an acknowledgments page indicating poems that have been previously published.
- Simultaneous submissions are allowed.
- Multiple submissions are permissible.
- Co-authored manuscripts are welcome.
- Manuscripts in translation are welcome.
- There are two reading fee options: $15 to have your manuscript considered; $23 to have your manuscript considered and to have a chapbook or broadside of your choosing mailed to you (not available to international submitters; and some broadsides are excluded).
- Notification will be made on or before summer solstice. Chapbook publication will be in the fall or winter.
- Should your manuscript be selected, you will receive 25 copies, and your book will be promoted online and at book festivals.
- This is not a contest. Manuscripts will not be read blind. Publication decisions will be made by Christopher Nelson, the editor of Green Linden Press.
- Green Linden Press intends to publish one or more manuscripts from this reading period; however, we reserve the right to publish no manuscripts if we feel that none fit with our aesthetic.
- A portion of the proceeds from this open-reading period will support reforestation efforts.
- Submitters to Green Linden Press agree to receive updates about future publications and submission opportunities. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Questions or comments: contact Christopher Nelson: greenlindenpress at gmail dot com
- Deadline: March 20, 2023. Notification of our selection(s) will be made on or before June 21, 2023.
