Writing Retreat: Rekindle in Juneau, Alaska

Sponsored by Lighthouse Writers

Join us for the inauguration of Lighthouse’s new traveling retreat, Rekindle. Our kickoff program will be in Juneau, Alaska from May 15 to May 22, eight days and seven nights. This generative retreat will feature a blend of ample writing time, local exploration, manuscript feedback from seasoned writers and teachers, and connection with other adventurous writers.

Participation in the retreat is by application only. Early-bird applications are accepted on a rolling basis and close at midnight on January 20.

Tuition includes: hotel lodging in a private room with a private bathroom, group welcome breakfast, daily in-room continental breakfasts, daily optional activities including transit and faculty instruction, an optional review of a 3,000-to-5,000 word manuscript and 30-minute one-on-one consultation with an instructor, farewell dinner, limited shuttle service to and from the airport, time and space to write, and the welcoming and inclusive Lighthouse community. (Note: A mistaken prior iteration of this section was inadvertently copied from the "double room" option. Doubles are available, but tuition covers just one person and their manuscript.)

This year's instructors are Rachel Weaver and Erika Krouse. You have the opportunity to apply for early bird pricing of $2,950 through January 20, space available. After January 20, you are invited to apply for the retreat at the full cost of $3,250. Payment plans available at (303) 297-1185. A $500 nonrefundable deposit is required to hold your space.

Apply here.
