Call for Submissions from California residents: Crow Talk

POETRY ANTHOLOGY
THEME: CROWS and RAVENS
Submission Deadline: September 30, 2010

“Crow Talk,” an anthology, is seeking poems and artwork by California residents on the theme of crows and ravens. You are invited to submit original poetry, photos, and artwork about crows and ravens, or work that features crows and ravens in a significant way.

The final submission deadline has been extended until September 30, 2010. Publication date is spring/summer 2011, and a public reading in the Santa Barbara /Goleta area will be scheduled to kick off the anthology. Each published contributor will receive one free copy.

You will be notified of our decisions by December 1, 2010.

POETRY:
Submit 1-5 pages of poetry, single-spaced, size 12 font, in Microsoft Word or compatible format; written in English or in Spanish with English translations (if translations are included, you may submit 2-10 pages.) Submit your poems in a single email attachment to:

with your name and email address on each page. Please include your name, phone number, email address and mailing address in the body of your email, along with a list of titles submitted. Only one submission per poet, please. Previously published poems and simultaneous submissions are OK. If poems have been previously published in any form, include the publication name, publisher, date and issue #, for credit in acknowledgments. Please provide a 75-word bio with your submission.

ARTWORK & PHOTOGRAPHS:
Submit 1-5 JPEG or TIFF files of your artwork or photographs of crows and ravens. Send by email attachment to:

Please e-mail low resolution files, one for each artwork, and include your last name and the title of the work in each file name. If your work is chosen, we will request high resolution files. Please include your name, phone number, email address and mailing address in the body of your email, along with a list of artworks submitted and a 75-word bio.
